Description:
The SL 21 benchmarks are a Library of Michigan program that promotes quality school libraries by helping school librarians document to school and district administrators what a school librarian does, what a school library program is, and the achievement of the school library programs in their buildings. The current measures are based on the AASL National School Library Standards. This summer, the volunteers who make up the advisory School Library Workgroup with the Library of Michigan updated the measures to emphasize intellectual freedom issues and school library support of virtual learning. Come learn about the measures with us and get advice on the impact of participating and how to get started with your application.
