Are you charged with training and mentoring teachers at your site or district about copyright? Do your colleagues reach out to you with questions about what they can and cannot do to comply with copyright? C&C, who provides FREE K-12 resources to teach copyright and fair use to students, has created a new course to share with colleagues. The goal is to help fellow teachers become positive role models and confident, knowledgeable instructors as they better understand bends in the road and issues facing themselves and their students. I'll clarify copyright, why it's important and its place in digital citizenship. I'll offer guidelines, lesson tie-ins, and delve into specific topics, such as plagiarism vs. infringement. Attendees will come away with a new ready to use tool to empower colleagues to navigate the copyright maze.
